Staying Awake: Strategies For Shifting Without Sleep

how to shift without sleeping

Shifting realities is a matter of switching awareness, like tuning into a different radio station. While most methods involve falling asleep first, there are plenty of ways to shift without nodding off. These methods can be broken down into two stages: The Relaxation Stage and The Shifting Stage. The first stage involves getting into a relaxed state through meditation, visualisation, or music. The second stage involves various techniques such as repeating affirmations, visualising desired realities, or writing goals. Some popular methods include the No Sleep, Raven, Train, Julia, and Heartbeat methods. These techniques allow individuals to detach their consciousness from their physical body and enter a new reality without the need for sleep.

The No Sleep Method

Step 1: Meditate

Meditate for around 5 to 10 minutes. It can be a guided meditation or not, depending on your preference. Ensure that you are relaxed during this step. You can also put on some THETA waves music (6hz is best) to help you relax.

Step 2: Get Comfortable and Close Your Eyes

Once you are relaxed, get into a comfortable position and close your eyes.

Step 3: Repeat "I Am"

While keeping your eyes closed, keep repeating the words, "I am" to yourself. You can do this out loud or in your head.

Step 4: Wait for Shifting Symptoms

Keep repeating "I am" until you start to feel any shifting symptoms in your body. These symptoms can include body tingles, a fast heartbeat, a feeling of floating or weightlessness, vibrations, itching, or seeing white lights.

Step 5: Slowly Count from 0 to 100

Start counting very slowly from 0 to 100. You can do this out loud or in your head. Take your time and don't rush the counting. You can also tell yourself shifting affirmations in between your counts, although this is optional.

Step 6: Repeat Shifting Affirmations

After you have finished counting from 0 to 100, start repeating shifting affirmations to yourself about your desired reality (DR) and your DR-self. You can do this in your head or out loud. Keep repeating these affirmations until you feel disconnected from your physical body.

The Raven Method

  • Prepare your environment: Create an inspiring atmosphere that will stimulate your imagination. Choose a private and comfortable space, such as your bedroom. Adjust the lighting and eliminate distractions by closing the door and drawing the curtains. You can also add special touches, like lighting a candle with a scent that evokes your desired reality.
  • Get into a comfortable position: Lie down on your back, spread out your arms and legs, and fan out your fingers. Relax your muscles, and you'll begin to feel as if you're floating. This position helps you mentally detach from your current surroundings and prepares you for the shift.
  • Write a shifting script (optional): Before attempting the Raven Method, you can write down your desired appearance, age, and other details of your DR. This helps clarify your intentions and makes it easier to visualize your desired reality.
  • Meditate and visualize: While it is not mandatory, some find it helpful to meditate before shifting. Meditation calms the mind and makes it easier to shift. You can also visualize yourself in your DR, imagining the sights, sounds, and sensations you expect to encounter.
  • Recite affirmations: As you count from 1 to 100, say an affirmation after each number. These affirmations should excite you about your journey and reinforce your belief in the shift. For example, "I am on my way to an adventure that will transform me" or "I am already in my desired reality."
  • Stay focused: If you start to feel itchy or uncomfortable, try to ignore it. These sensations are signs that your body is falling asleep or that you are about to shift. It's important to remain still and focused on your desired reality.
  • Open your eyes when ready: Once you feel your surroundings change, open your eyes when you are absolutely sure you have shifted. You don't have to stop at 100; you can keep counting or start counting down if it helps. Remember, this method requires a strong belief in the reality shift.
  • Return to your Current Reality: After your adventure in the Desired Reality, it's important to focus on your Current Reality. Practice self-care, prioritize your responsibilities, and take advantage of the opportunities available to you in both realities.

The Julia Method

Step 1: Relaxation

Start by finding a quiet and comfortable space where you won't be disturbed. You can lie down or sit in a comfortable position. Close your eyes and take a few deep breaths, focusing on relaxing your body and calming your mind. You can also meditate for around 5 to 10 minutes to help you reach a state of relaxation. This step is optional, and you can choose to do a guided meditation or simply relax on your own.

Step 2: Positive Affirmations

Once you are feeling relaxed, keep your eyes closed and start repeating the words "I am" to yourself. You can say or think these words aloud. Repeating these words is a form of positive affirmation that helps to empower and affirm your presence in your desired reality.

Step 3: Recognize Shifting Symptoms

Continue repeating the words "I am" until you start to feel any shifting symptoms in your body. These symptoms can include bodily sensations such as tingling, a rapid heartbeat, a feeling of floating or weightlessness, vibrations, itching, or seeing white lights. These symptoms indicate that you are beginning to detach from your physical body and enter a different state of consciousness.

Step 4: Slow Counting

After recognizing shifting symptoms, start counting very slowly from 0 to 100. You can count aloud or in your head, whichever you prefer. Take your time with this step and don't rush the counting. Focus on each number and use this time to further detach from your physical surroundings.

Step 5: Shifting Affirmations

Once you reach 100, start repeating shifting affirmations to yourself about your desired reality (DR) and your DR-self. You can say these affirmations aloud or in your head. For example, you can say, "I am walking through this door into my desired reality" or "I am open and ready to experience my desired reality." Continue repeating these affirmations until you feel fully disconnected from your physical body and immersed in your DR.

Additional Tips:

  • You can enhance your relaxation in Step 1 by playing THETA waves music (6hz is recommended) in the background.
  • During Step 5, you can include specific details about your DR-self, such as your desired appearance, age, and other aspects of your DR life.
  • If you are new to shifting, consider trying out beginner-friendly methods first, such as the No Sleep, Raven, or 369 Method, before attempting more advanced techniques like The Julia Method.

The Alice in Wonderland Method

First, find a room with no distractions where you can relax. Lie down on a bed in a comfortable position on your back. Take calm, deep breaths with your eyes closed.

Second, imagine yourself sitting against a tree. Visualize the atmosphere, such as the breeze, falling leaves, flowers, and birds. Feel like every element is welcoming and cheering.

Third, visualize a person from your desired reality (DR) near the tree. Stand up, step forward, and follow them as they start running.

Fourth, continue running after the person from your DR. Take your time and describe the scenery and the things you pass on the way.

Fifth, the person from your DR will eventually reach a rabbit hole and jump inside. Follow them into the rabbit hole, and you should feel yourself falling. As you fall, visualize your memories of your current reality fading away, leaving only thoughts of your DR.

Sixth, after finishing the fall, the person from your DR will be waiting for you and show you a door leading to your DR. Step through the door together, and you will enter your DR.

Seventh, you will now be in your DR bedroom. Visualize what this bedroom looks like, and lie down to fall asleep in the same position you started shifting.

Finally, if you have shifted correctly, you should wake up fully in your DR. You don't need to affirm continuously, but you can affirm whenever you feel a distraction or disconnection from your DR.

The Train Method

Get Comfortable and Relax

Sit or lie down in a comfortable position and close your eyes. Take deep breaths and relax your body and mind. You can also do something that helps you relax, such as reading a chapter from your favourite book or taking a bubble bath.

Visualize Yourself on a Train

Imagine yourself sitting in a train car, heading towards your desired reality. See yourself sitting upright with your back against a pillow, looking out the window.

Visualize Scenes from Your Desired Reality

As the train travels towards your desired reality, visualize the scenes, landscapes, and surroundings from your DR. Imagine what it would be like to be in that reality and observe the details of the environment.

Arrive at the Station

Once you feel a change or sense that you have arrived, imagine the train rolling into a station. Visualize yourself getting up from your seat, exiting the train, and stepping onto the station platform.

Open Your Eyes

When you are ready, slowly open your eyes. You should now feel fully immersed in your desired reality.
