The album included a DVD of short films directed and shot by professional filmmakers and friends, including Gorman Bechard, The Barnes Brothers, Martin Glenn, Matt Boyd, and Jared Johnson. Ryan and Hubbard also directed three of the short films with the help of Nashville film student Matt Riddlehoover. The album received rave reviews from Timeout, Uncut, the Sunday Express, and The Times.
The song "For Blue Skies," which deals with the sentencing of Ryan's brother to 30 years in prison, was featured on the One Tree Hill soundtrack. The band toured the UK with Josh Rouse to promote the album. Strays Don't Sleep disbanded in mid-2006, shortly after the release of their single "Love Don't Owe You Anything."

Don't Sleep's Turn The Tide releases
Don't Sleep's Turn The Tide was released on 4 September 2020 by Mission Two Entertainment. It was the band's first album for the label and their first release in four decades. The album was recorded in Pennsylvania during the Covid-19 pandemic.
Turn The Tide features 12 tracks, including the singles "Refine Me", "We Remain", and "No Other Way". The album was produced by Grammy-nominated producers Carson Slovak and Grant McFarland, with contributions from New York hardcore icon Walter Schreifels and Matt Holmes. Several songs were engineered by Brian McTernan.
The album has been described as a "powerful, distinctive hardcore album" by vocalist Dave Smalley, who also noted the influence of record label owner Tony Brummel in encouraging the band to write additional songs for the record. The result is a collection of songs that refine Don't Sleep as more than a throw-back band.
Turn The Tide has been praised for its fusion of tender and punchy sounds, with reviewers highlighting the emotive and muscular 'Reflection' and the angular, riff-heavy 'True North' as standout tracks. The album's opening track, 'Don't Sleep', has been described as a "ball of nervous energy" that perfectly straddles the line between hardcore and punk.
