With your first badge, you'll be able to access basic medicines such as antidotes, awakenings, and paralyze heals, as well as Pokeballs and Great Balls. It's a good idea to have a variety of healing items, as you may encounter poison and sleep status effects during your time in Mt. Moon.
Additionally, consider picking up an Escape Rope, which can be found just to the left of the Pokémon Center. Mt. Moon is a large cave, and the Escape Rope will allow you to quickly return to the entrance if needed. Use the Poke Flute to wake Meowth
