How to set up a Sleep Number remote
Setting up your Sleep Number remote will allow you to control the various features of your mattress and/or adjustable base. The first step is to pair your remote. Here is how to set up a Sleep Number remote:
Sleep Number Smart Remote
Insert two AA batteries into the back of the remote. Make sure your bed is plugged into a grounded wall outlet.
To pair your smart remote:
- Press and hold the "Favorite" button on the side of the base.
- Or, press the pairing button on your smart control system if you have a mattress/integrated base.
Sleep Number 360® smart 5 Button Remote
If you've recently replaced your pump, you'll need to do a Factory Reset to pair your remote. Insert two AA batteries into the back of the remote. Follow the guided setup instructions on the screen until you get to "Setup Complete!". Make sure your bed is plugged into a grounded wall outlet.
For Sleep Number bases: Ensure the detachable power cord is firmly connected at the head of the bed.
Sleep Number 360® smart FlexFit™ Adjustable Base 10 or 12 Button Remote

Note: Only use your DualTemp remote with your DualTemp Layer. Remove the batteries from the remote. Unplug and plug in the Heating and Cooling Fan. Within 60 seconds, insert two AA batteries. Name your remote, so you know which DualTemp Layer it controls.
Wait 5 full minutes before pairing a second DualTemp Remote to the other side.
FlexFit™ or FlexFit™ + Remote (Bases sold from 2012-2014)
Make sure the adjustable base is plugged in. Press and release the "Learn" button on the side of your adjustable base power box. A red light will appear on the power box.
At the same time, press and hold the "Raise Head" and "Flat" remote buttons for 10 seconds, until the remote display blinks and the LED on the power box starts flashing. Release the remote buttons once the power box LED starts flashing slowly and then rapidly.
All Other Sleep Number® Remotes
Insert two AA batteries into the back of the remote. Follow the guided setup instructions on the screen until you get to "Setup Complete!".

Traditional Sleep Number Remote
The traditional remote is compatible with Sleep Number 360 smart beds, Sleep Number c1 smart beds, and traditional Sleep Number beds. It allows you to control the firmness and support of your mattress to find your ideal Sleep Number setting. This remote has 12 buttons and requires two AA batteries.
