What You'll Learn

Bomb the ghosts
To wake up the sleeping Zora in Cadence of Hyrule, you need to bomb the ghosts. In this Legend of Zelda/Crypt of the Necrodancer crossover game, you can find the sleeping Zora in a cave on the beach in the Lake Hylia area. You'll see an icy structure and the cavern is just across from it.
Inside the cavern, you'll find several ghosts as well as the sleeping Zora Prince. You'll need to use bombs to defeat all the ghosts in the cave. You can pick up bombs from a merchant or find them in jars inside the cavern. It should take around five bombs to defeat all the ghosts. Once you've done this, an enemy will appear that you'll also need to defeat. After you've defeated this enemy, the Zora Prince will awaken.
The Zora Prince will reward you with the Zora Flippers, which will allow you to swim in Lake Hylia and give you access to more areas in the world.

Defeat the Ghast
To wake up the Zora Prince in Cadence of Hyrule, you must defeat the Ghast. The Ghast is found in a small cave in Lake Hylia, guarding the sleeping prince. The Ghast appears as a ghost, and most of the other ghosts surrounding the prince are silent. However, one ghost speaks to the player, assuring them that the prince is safe with them.
To defeat the Ghast and wake up the Zora Prince, you must attack the speaking ghost. This is done by placing a bomb at its feet and then preparing for a fight. When the bomb explodes, the ghost will be revealed as a Ghast, and you must kill it.
The Ghast can be tricky to identify among the other ghosts, but here are some tips to help you:
- The Ghast is the only ghost that speaks. It will tell you that the prince is safe with them.
- The Ghast is guarding the Zora Prince, so it is likely to be found near him. Look for a ghost that appears to be protecting or watching over the prince.
- The Ghast may have a different appearance or behaviour from the other ghosts. Pay attention to any ghosts that stand out or act unusually.
Once you have identified the Ghast, follow these steps to ensure a successful defeat:
- Equip yourself with bombs, which can be found early in the game.
- Enter the cave in Lake Hylia where the Zora Prince is sleeping.
- Locate the speaking ghost and place a bomb at its feet.
- Get ready for a fight as the bomb explodes, and the ghost is revealed as a Ghast.
- Attack and defeat the Ghast.
Defeating the Ghast will cause the Zora Prince to wake up, and he will thank you by giving you the Zora's Flippers. These flippers will allow you to swim in deep water and access new areas in the game.

Explore Lake Hylia
Lake Hylia is a mythical and beautiful lake, first introduced by name in A Link to the Past on the SNES. It reappeared in Ocarina of Time and then in Twilight Princess. The lake is named after the goddess Hylia from Skyward Sword, though it could be argued that the goddess is named after the lake as the lake came first in the development process. A similar thing happened between Adventure of Link and Ocarina of Time, where the towns in Adventure of Link shared the same names as the sages in Ocarina of Time.
Lake Hylia has appeared in multiple Zelda games and is as iconic as Death Mountain. In the game, it is located outside the Light Spirit Lanayru's Shrine. One player speculates that the Great Sea in Wind Waker, where all of Hyrule is flooded, could be an extension of Lake Hylia, making it the Sea of Hylia.

Find the Frozen Grotto
To find the Frozen Grotto, players must venture to the centre of Lake Hylia. The dungeon is surrounded by water, so Zora's Flippers are required to cross. Once inside the dungeon, players will encounter a cave located just west of the Frozen Grotto, where a sleeping prince and six undead Zora reside. Only one of the undead Zora will communicate with the player.
To wake up the sleeping prince, players must interact with the undead Zora and place a bomb at his ghostly feet to defeat him. Following his defeat, the prince will awaken and express his gratitude by rewarding the player with the Flippers.
The main chamber of the Frozen Grotto dungeon remains fixed, while the other floors are randomly generated. To navigate through the dungeon, players can utilise a staircase in the northwest corner, situated to the left of a locked big door. This staircase leads to an underground passage that eventually connects to a staircase on the right side of the big door. Players can then push a block down to a lower level and climb up to access a treasure chest.
