Using the Digital Crown to wake up your Apple Watch
The Digital Crown is a physical dial on the side of the Apple Watch that can be spun, pressed, or long-pressed to accomplish different tasks. It is one of the most useful interaction options on the Apple Watch.
To wake up your Apple Watch from sleep mode, you can turn the Digital Crown upward. You can also press the Digital Crown once to return to your current Watch face, assuming you are inside an app. If you are not inside an app, pressing the Digital Crown will show you your entire list or grid of apps.
